Explorers in the Field
At the heart of our Explorers program is the quest for knowledge through exploration and the people who make it possible. National Geographic recognizes explorers from traditional and emerging fields through three programs—Explorers-in-Residence, Emerging Explorers, and Fellows—that bring you exciting new discoveries direct from the field. National Geographic also funds groundbreaking work through a range of grant programs: the Committee for Research and Exploration, Expeditions Council, Conservation Trust, Young Explorers Grants, and the National Geographic Society/Waitt Grants Program.
