About The Show
Dr Tom Rich from the Museum of Victoria became a leading authority on polar dinosaurs after discovering them in Australia over two decades ago. He wants to build a mine into the permafrost on Alaska's North Slope to locate the many dinosaur bones trapped in this icy tomb. Meanwhile, Dr Tony Fiorillo from Dallas has been working on the North Slope for 10 years in a more traditional method. These two scientists, with very different methods, undertake separate expeditions into Alaska's far north. But the task is not easy. The weather is extreme, the location remote and the personalities disparate. If their quest is successful, they may unlock the secret of dinosaur extinction and perhaps the key to human survival on Earth.
