There have been no reports of damage and no tsunami warning has been issued.

No word on whether the penguins of Middle Island, home to Oddball, felt the tremor.

Oddball, the mischievous dog who was trained to protect the wild penguin sanctuary on Middle Island from fox attacks, is one of the area’s most famous – and loveable – residents.
