The Strange and Wonderful World of the 'Snail Wrangler'

As part of National Geographic's Short Film Showcase

Meet Marla Coppolino—illustrator, photographer, and snail wrangler. Formally known as a malacologist (one who studies mollusks), Coppolino is on a mission to enlighten the world about the plight of the lowly land snail. Her unconventional methods include staging and photographing her pet snails in elaborate miniature scenes using doll house furniture. In Life at a Snail's Pace by Alexandra Gaulupeau, slow down and explore the delightful world of "The Snail Wrangler" as she shares her unusual passion.
