The size of a small dog, and having one of the most powerful bites in relation to body mass of any living land predator, the Tasmanian devil is known to be a ferocious little hunter packing a powerful pocket-sized punch.
The appearance of Tasmanian devils is also rather distinct, with an elongated snout, broad and powerful head and neck and stocky body with thick black fur, they almost appear rodent-like.
While ferocious and powerful for their size, the devils are currently facing threat of extinction due to devil facial tumor disease which is infectious and has drastically reduced their populations in the wild.
