Enjoy the gorgeous drive to El Calafate. The following day, attend a talk by a local expert on the Perito Moreno Glacier. Then travel into Los Glaciares National Park to view this massive glacier, and opt to take a boat ride to its base. (2B)

Return to Buenos Aires and enjoy some free time to explore the “Paris of South America.” In the evening, head out to San Telmo—the oldest barrio in the city—for dinner in a café, followed by a tango lesson from local dancers at a studio. Then it’s time for a milonga, a neighborhood tradition where students and teachers of the studio show up to practice their moves. Sit back and enjoy or join in the fun. The next day, enjoy a tour of the city’s highlights, including the Plaza de Mayo (home to Eva Perón’s famous balcony), La Boca, and La Recoleta Cemetery. (2B, 1D)
