On 20th April 2010, the Deepwater Horizon drilling platform exploded. Eleven lives were lost in the explosion and over the next 87 days, the tragedy continued. More than 750 million litres of oil were released into the Gulf of Mexico making this the largest oil spill in US history. Narrated by Matt Damon, this documentary examines the impact of the disaster on millions of people and follows a team of international scientists as they investigate the spill’s effect on the world’s ninth largest body of water.
