About the Show
Winston Blackmore is the family patriarch and leader of a fundamentalist Mormon polygamist community in Bountiful, British Columbia, that includes his 20-some wives and more than 100 children. Winston, like all who practice "the principle," believes multiple marriages and siring dozens of children will help guarantee his entrance into the highest of Heavens. For the first time ever, he is giving a TV crew access to chronicle the loves and lives of his family, including his son's wedding. Explore the major historic events and personalities that have led to modern-day Mormon fundamentalism, including the dark side of some polygamous clans where child abuse, underage marriage, oppression of women and welfare fraud exist.
