About the Show
Through the central character of a great white shark in captivity at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, this program explores the care and feeding of the famed museums' collection of marine fauna. The shark exemplifies the most challenging exercise in planning, capturing, keeping and raising a species at the aquarium. Oceans in Glass is a behind-the-scenes look at everything from the museum's collection activities and scientific work to the physical systems that keep the fauna alive, and the ingenuity that staff must often employ to that same end.
