About the Show
, where three groups – the lion pride, hyena clan and wild dog pack – use the dry riverbed as a hunting ground. While the dry season plagues the elephant and antelope herds it makes for a predator’s delight. Survival strategies are vital in determining who eats and how often, whose offspring will endure another season and who can adapt to unexpected change. When heavy rains from Angola flood the Savuti Channel for the first time in 25 years, crocodiles seize the channel as their own. Old strategies fail and hunters must overcome their fear of crocodiles, the water – or change their diets to survive. Luckily buffalo arrive to add dinner options to the menu, but they also challenge predators in surprising new ways. The hyenas adjust to this transforming land with ease and one hyena even takes her stamina-driven hunt to the water. In an unprecedented epic finale, three wild dogs join this hyena and work together to make the kill. This stunning show of cooperation sees these rivals feasting together but for how long? Watch as the dry and the wet channel forces predator and prey to react in startling ways and all in an effort to survive on Savuti’s Predator Battleground.
