The Disappearing Reefs
Reefs that are under stress become very identifiable due to a distinct white colour they become, in a process known as coral bleaching. The speed under which this problem is occurring is of extreme concern for scientists, with up to 50% of the world's corals already diminished due to global warming. At this rate, within 35 years all of our world's coral could be extinct.
